Cardiovascular Surgical First Assistant (CSTFA) - CVOR Specialist

In this vital role, you'll work alongside top surgeons in our state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), performing critical procedures including saphenous vein harvesting and providing essential surgical support.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced surgical assistance during complex cardiovascular procedures
• Perform saphenous vein harvesting for cardiac bypass surgeries
• Maintain optimal exposure and hemostasis during surgical procedures
• Assist in patient positioning and surgical preparation
• Ensure sterile technique and maintain surgical equipment
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in pre and post-operative patient care planning

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from an accredited agency
• Valid Surgical First Assistant certification through a nationally accredited certification agency
• Current BLS certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in CVOR and vein harvesting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina for long periods of standing and precise manual dexterity
