As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, youll lead advanced machining projects from concept to completion, drive continuous process improvement, and be the key technical liaison for major OEM customers. This is a hands-on role perfect for an expert in EDM programming and grinding technologies ready to make a measurable impact in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for complex parts using:

    • Multi-axis CNC milling

    • Wire & sinker EDM

    • Creep feed and 5-axis grinding

  • Act as the lead technical interface for high-profile customers, ensuring smooth communication and change management.

  • Lead process validation and legacy part requalification to ensure on-time, quality-compliant delivery.

  • Develop machining strategiestool paths, workholding fixtures, feeds/speeds, EDM parametersto improve quality and tool life.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, and Tooling teams to deliver robust, scalable production solutions.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce scrap and increase yield.

  • Train and mentor junior engineers and shop floor personnel on new and revised processes.

  • Support CAD/CAM programming using Mastercam, Vericut, and SolidWorks.

  • Participate in audits, first article inspections (FAI), and prepare documentation such as PPAP/FAI packages.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 510+ years in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, energy, medical device, or automotive industries.

  • Strong expertise in EDM programming (wire and/or sinker) and precision grinding.

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam and SolidWorks.

  • Solid understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation.

  • Experience working in customer-facing engineering roles.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality systems.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC milling.

  • Familiarity with Vericut simulation software.
